On Tuesday 12th November, Tauranga Intermediate Year 7 students had athletics for the day. There were heaps of events such as Long jump, Sprints, Shot put, Discus, Cricket ball throw and the Vortex.

5 Things around the house giving homework challenge

The 5 things I did around the house was washing the dishes, Vacuming the cars, Getting the mail, Folding the washing and Help my little sister fit a lightbulb into her lamp.
I personally felt great after every thing I did  around the house.

My Weekend

On the weekend I went to a family friends 40th. They had an out door open fire going. When we woke up on sunday our clothes all smelt like smoke so we had to put them in the washing machine.

A Most Triumphant Tail Review

I thought the production was great especially when the organ player was playing " Its A Small World"
Cause I remembered it from Disneyland. The setting was two bands battling to be the champions to change music history. The costumes looked great. My Favourite scene was The Voice.

I cant wait to see the next show.

Cross-Country

On Monday 24th of June it was the Tauranga Intermediate Cross-Country.
I came 49th out of 370 people so I am pretty proud of myself. The
race was 3km long. Before the race I was kind of nervous but before
I new it the starter gun went off and we were all running. After the race
I was proud of myself for coming 49th out of 370 kids.

Improve your study skills: Research Rimu- where do you find it? Why is it important to Māori? What uses does it have? Why is Rimu the best tree in the school?

Where do you find it ?

Rimu trees are only found in New Zealand they are found in the North island, South island and Stewart island. They are mostly found on the west coast of the south island and the forests near Taupo.

Why is it important to māori ? 

In the olden days māori used rimus inner bark was used as medicine for cuts and burns.

They also used the bitter gum to stop bleeding and the leafs were used on sores.

What uses does it have ?

The Māoris used to make rimu into timber which was made into furniture.

the wood is also very strong.

Why is rimu the best tree in the school ?

Rimu is the best tree in the school because it stands tall above all the 

other trees and is used for many things.

Hey guys, This week at food tech We had to cook in partners and I was partnered up
with my friend Xavier. All of our cooking turned out great and we are both
proud of our efforts.

For the homework challenge care for younger children
I am trying to teach my sister the basic chords of the guitar
like G,D, E minor , A, C. I have been teaching my
sister guitar for 2 weeks now and I am trying not to get frustrated
with her. She has not been fully successful so at this rate
it is going to take her 1-2 years to get the idea.

I am learning the guitar. I have been playing the guitar for 2-3 months now and
I am progressing quickly. I would love to be good enough to get into a
band one day. I am learning the acoustic guitar. I think it will only take me another 6 months to
get really good at it. I enjoy playing the guitar because it
is one of my passions.

Undertake and complete an endurance event: Participate in a

triathlon, duathlon, cycle race: I Competed in the weetbix Tryathlon everyone received a

Medal and a drink Bottle for their efforts and I learnt there are no winners or losers.
I would love to be a professional athlete as well as a professional guitarist.
Both my sister and I did the tryathlon. I also met up with oliver in my class at the
big event.

Nana Most Weekends and Holidays. When my sister and I are at our nanas we

hangout on the driveway playing on our MGPs. We also have some friends that we
hangout with at nanas so that we can leave her to have peace an quiet.

I have loved Cycling for ages Here is one of the routes that I cycled.
My family has been cycling for over 9 years. My favourite place to go biking is in the redwoods
Down in Rotorua. I like it so much in there because it is all under trees.

Auckland Madness

During the holidays my family and I went to Auckland to visit some friends. The traffic was hectic but
the weather was beautiful. As the sun went down the traffic started to ease. The next day My friend blake and I went to Westlake Boys High School on our scooters. Then we came back home and had a water fight with my sister and his sister. Half way through the water fight the girls wimped out so blake and I looked at each other thinking man what was the point in that.
